Our Services
The main aspect of our operation is training for the Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) on a fleet of 3 Piper Cherokee aircraft. The minimum training syllabus laid down by the CAA is 45 hours flight time, although 60 hours is nearer the national average for completion in order to qualify for a JAR/PPL.
The minimum training time for an NPPL is 32 hours, plus any revision and flight test.

At MIDLAND AIR TRAINING Limited you pay for your flying time only. All ground-school, exam fees and landings fees at Coventry Airport are included. Each flying lesson lasts for two hours and typically consists of: 30 to 40 minutes of tuition / pre-flight briefing, 10 to 15 minutes to inspect the aircraft, 40 to 60 minutes of flying time and a 15 to 20 minute de-brief.
A lesson with one hour of flying costs £125. If you fly for 45 minutes the total cost is £ 95.00!
Once you have gained your Private Pilot's Licence, you can hire the aircraft for your own trips at £ 105 per hour of flying time. This includes fuel, but you do have to pay landing fees at any aerodrome you visit - typically £ 10 per landing.
